Body image. It’s everything in America and only now are people beginning to discover the harsh realities associated with the term “body image”. It holds more than just a person’s image, but rather an entire concept, an entire culture behind it, an entirely new way of thinking. Why is it that smoky eyes attract men, while pale, untainted lashes go unnoticed? What makes a woman’s skin glow better than sweat? Why must a woman disguise her odor with fifty different shades of lavender? (yes, that was a reference to the book) Most importantly, why is this okay? You tell me.
